Position Overview

Responsible for consulting with end customers and supporting the sale of Canon?s Production Printing hardware, software and related professional services.? The PSC takes a leading position in driving the sale of Production print related technologies through Canon channels including Authorized Dealers and Federal Sales.? The PSC role is a sales position and carries an assigned quota based upon a geographic territory assignment.
Territory is the South/South Central region with 60% travel. Working from a home office, candidates preferred in Tennessee, Alabama, Missouri or Kansas.

- Lead direct selling activities associated with Production Printing technology offerings and professional services to prospective customers in support of Canon?s channels.
- Provide consulting expertise to customers and channel partners with respect to commercial print and inplant operations, production workflow, color management, business services development, and technology.
- Responsible for driving field execution of corporate objectives and strategies defined by Production Solutions Headquarters marketing organization.
- Support Canon?s internal field sales personnel in activities with assigned channels including, production printing education and training, product demonstrations, product launches, open houses and other sales and marketing related initiatives
- Advise on Proposals:? Production Sales Consultants provide technical advisory support on best configuration/workflows to recommend in connection with identified customer requirements.
- Based upon core business, product and technical knowledge provide feedback to Canon Product Planning and Management regarding customer requirements and competition.? Information provided is utilized to drive on-going solution development activities across Canon development organizations.
- Support key National and regional marketing events including participation in Trade Shows and conferences targeting production print customers.
- General Administration:? Manage a sales and activity pipeline, reporting to management on a monthly basis or more frequently as may be required.
- This job requires 60% travel and requires driving for company business as an essential function of the job and must remain in compliance with company safety guidelines and policies.


Depth of experience in the production printing marketplace with strong technical product knowledge and familiarity with commercial print business operations.?
- Candidate must live in South / South Central Region; TN, MO, KS preferred.
- This position requires frequent travel up to 60%.?
- Requires Bachelor?s degree
- Position requires at least 5 years of related work experience.
- Candidates MUST have prior experience in selling production printing hardware, software and services.? Candidates must be familiar with the principles of production printing workflow and have a base knowledge of commercial print and inplant operations
- Technical knowledge in the areas of imaging, off-set printing, digital printing, RIPs, color workflow/management, and related technologies are essential
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
