Coordinates/Leads the receiving and shipping of all parts, materials and coil receiving area(s) both inbound and outbound.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities:
Monitor and control shipping and receiving procedures Coordinates/leads activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment:
Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates Knowledge of domestic and international shipments.
Especially understanding of setting up international shipments Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments Ensure customer required websites/portals for shipment notifications or other requests is maintained and completed correctly Coordinates in conjunction with the supervisor any directed contact and shipment set-up with customer carriers Coordinate expedite set-up and arrangements Oversee coil receiving, shipping and receiving area(s) Ensures that all steel and components received in a timely manner by the Coil Receiving Clerk Monitor all shipping and receiving preventative maintenance in conjunction with the Supervisor Route shipments to secondary vendors and customers Assist workers in shipping and receiving activities (as needed) Works with Logistics (Customer Service) on shortages, etc.
