We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry.
This is a unique opportunity to work with a diverse group of professionals who are passionate about their work.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a focus on billing, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
The Permanent Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the financial health of our company by managing our financial procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to financial strategy decisions.
Responsibilities:
Manage all accounting transactions, including billing, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Prepare budget forecasts and financial statements for the company.
Conduct month-end and year-end close procedures, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis.
Manage the company's financial planning, including the identification of potential cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Oversee internal audits and liaise with external auditors.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
Manage accounts payable, ensuring all expenses are recorded accurately and paid on time.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in the Construction industry.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
Solid understanding of financial reporting, financial statements, and general ledger functions.
Strong knowledge of financial planning and forecasting.
Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable.
Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
Strong numerical skills and the ability to handle large volumes of data.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on financial data.
Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes in the construction industry is a plus.
